September is a happening month on the Grand Strand when it comes to arts and cultural events! Here are just a few of the events you won't want to miss:
September 6, 2018 through October 28, 2018: National Sculpture Society 85th Annual Awards Exhibition at Brookgreen Gardens in the Rainey Sculpture Pavilion. The event features 15 awards as well as a People's Choice Award voted on by visitors to Brookgreen Gardens during the exhibition. Admission to the exhibit is free with garden admission price.
September 7-9, 2018 and September 14-16, 2018: The Savannah Sipping Society. Nightly performances will be at the Main St. Theatre in Conway at 331 Main Street. The production is presented by The Theatre of the Republic. Tickets are $23.
September 15, 2018: Pops Concert at the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. Presented by the Long Bay Symphony. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for students.
September 22 and 23, 2018: The 6th Annual Art in Common Fall Festival in Valor Memorial Park at The Market Common. Presented by the Seacoast Artist's Guild of South Carolina. Admission is free though the event will feature works from over 50 local artists for sale, including paintings, drawings, photography, pottery, sculpture, jewelry, stone, wood and glass crafts.
September 28-30, 2018: The 3rd Annual Myrtle Beach Jazz Festival on historic Carver Street in Myrtle Beach. Admission is free. It's recommended that attendees bring their own seating to enjoy the performances. Performers include Don Colton, Darryl Murrill, NTranze, Chocolate Chip and Company, James "Bull" Canty, Nicci Canada and more.
